I am Congo, a Peruvian muralist and visual artist currently based in Michigan, United States.
My artistic career began in 2011 on the streets of Lima as a graffiti artist, where I developed the foundation of my visual language. With over 15 years of experience as an urban muralist, I have expanded my practice through studies in art direction and graphic design while creating large-scale works across the United States and South America.
My work explores the relationship between nature and the human environment, often characterized by cold and impersonal urban spaces. Through bold color palettes, dynamic compositions, and powerful natural forms, I create murals that transform walls into immersive visual experiences.
I approach each project as an opportunity to create meaningful connections between public space, community, and nature. By playing with scale, planes, and the arrangement of elements, I develop compositions that convey multiple ideas within a single environment while achieving strong visual impact.
My goal is to create public artworks that invite reflection, evoke emotion, and allow viewers to connect with the deeper essence of the natural world within urban landscapes.
